Nashville

This April we had the pleasure of attending Gregg's cousin, Christina's, wedding in Franklin, Tennessee just outside of Nashville.  Gregg had some vacation time to use so we decided to extend the weekend and make a trip of it!

Flying in over the Cumberland River. Some incredible houses and neighborhoods along the water.

We landed just in time to catch a show at The Listening Room.  It was singer-songwriter night so we got to hear a little bit about the songs before they were performed.  It was midweek so the crowd was small and intimate.  Meg's cousin, Hayley, who goes to school in Nashville, met up with us and gave us a tour of the town!

The next day we met Hayley and Shelby at their cute little house next to campus (Belmont) and they showed us a fun brunch cafe where "all the cool college kids eat" ;P

After brunch we headed to Franklin, which was about a 25 min Uber drive.  We had to chuckle to ourselves in the backseat of each Uber we took.  They were all so talkative and nice! We learned that this is a common trend among the people of Tennessee.

We arrived in downtown Franklin by early afternoon.  Kelly had booked the Historic Rhodes House for the Irving family, which was just a short jaunt to the downtown area.

Friday morning before the wedding, the boys played A LOT of 80's Trivial Pursuit.  By the 1.5 hour mark Meg was REALLY wishing they hadn't found the game.

The wedding itself was nothing less than spectacular! Every detail was planned down to a tee and the Belle Meade Plantation was beautiful.

Always fun to have the photobooth set up!

It was a marvelous trip and a fantastic wedding! Thanks for hosting a great weekend, Harris Family! We'll be back, Nashville!
