ZOO MANIA

Trip to the ZOO and cruisin' Prospect Park

Just a casual Sunday afternoon, we took a stroll down to Prospect Park to explore what it has to offer outside of it's extensive network of paths and trails.  We've run through the Park several times, but haven't slowed down to check out everything in it.  We first went in to the Brooklyn Public Library.  Impressive from the outside, but not as ornate on the inside as you'd think it would be.

Heading here on a Sat Morning when it is free :)

Fun fountain

Museum...another place we will come back to when they have free admission (we're cheap)

Every time we run by this thing there's always some party that a family is putting on (baby shower, graduation, birthday).  We think it is the SPOT to throw a party.  There are other families next to the primo spot just waiting for their chance to take over.  We've noticed no matter who's there, they love to blare their music.

The Lefferts House

Flamingos

Cutest animal at the zoo, red panda!

Major bummer

These ducks had the fluffiest feathers

Tons of turtles!

This guy was putting on quite the show.  He came close to falling out of the tank a couple times, or maybe that was part of his act.

Snapped this the one millisecond this monkey stopped tearing around the enclosure

This guy looked like he'd had a long day

Gigantic Hibiscus

There's still so much to explore in the park so I'm sure we'll be posting more in the future!

  1. I love zoos! I want to go to one in every city that I visit! Not everyone shares my enthusiasm but I'm hoping this one and the Central Park Zoo are in my future! Love Mom
